Medical Assistant Tier III Program
The Phlebotomy Career Training (PCT) aims to provide top-notch training to its students to make them professionals ready to work in health care services. It aims to provide varied online and in-class courses and is dedicated to developing new solutions to make these courses and certifications accessible. The Medical Assistant Tier III course offered at the institute is a four-in-one package where a graduate student will be ready to perform as a medical assistant, IV technician, Phlebotomy technician, and Electrocardiogram technician at the end of the course.
In just six months, you will be ready to work directly with doctors, and surgeons, though you can complete this course in as little time as 8 weeks.
In the Medical Assistant training, students will learn to:

As a Medical Assistant clinical core requirement, students must complete a clinical of 204 hours of observation and training to graduate from this course.
Phlebotomy TechnicianThe students will learn the proper phlebotomy technique through online lecture videos. They must meet the phlebotomy clinical core requirement to graduate from this course and complete 30 venipuncture, each supervised and signed off. For students unable to find internships in their areas, PCT offers a virtual simulation kit (VSK), which they can use to perform venipuncture.
The course introduces students to basic nursing care, and they will learn:
- 12 Lead ECG
- Emergency procedures
- Resident rights, and more through video lectures using various multimedia
At the end of the course, students will become expert ECG technicians who can fully understand Electrocardiogram Lead Tracings.
As an ECG Technician clinical core requirement, students must complete 40 hours of live EKGs observation, each supervised and signed off, to graduate from this course.
Becoming an IV technician requires certification, and PCT offers it with the online Medical Assistant Tier III program. Through this course, the students will learn the intravenous insertion and flushing technique, its basic principles, appropriate venipuncture intravenous therapy sites, preparation of intravenous therapy equipment, intravenous line establishment techniques, and other related safety hazards related to venipuncture.
IV Technicians are not required to submit an internship video because they will already perform it in their phlebotomy training in the Medical Assistant Tier II Course.
